The IoB Symposium was featured in Nikkei Computer

The symposium “Internet of Brains: A Blueprint for Connecting the Brain to the World,” held on October 9–10, 2025, was featured on page 56 of the November 13 issue of Nikkei Computer.

The article covers the IoB initiatives as a whole. It also introduces the research on non-invasive BMI (Brain-Machine Interface) by Dr. Shuntaro Sasai of the IoB Middleware Group, as well as the research toward a multimodal platform by Mr. Kan Akutsu of the Development of Fundamental Technologies Group.

 

The Moonshot Research & Development Program, Goal 1, Kanai Project, “Internet of Brains (IoB)”, is holding a symposium to share its research outcomes with the public and build a future vision through co-creation with diverse stakeholders. The event will take place at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) in Odaiba, Tokyo on Thursday, October 9th, and Friday, October 10th, 2025.
This symposium serves as a culmination of five years of research and development from Phase 1 of the Moonshot Research & Development Program, which began in 2020.
