[Neu World] Telling Serious Stories with Sci-Fi Manga! Imagining Future Brain Tech – A Special Event in San Francisco

San Francisco, March 22, 2025 – The Moonshot Goal 1 Kanai Project “Internet of Brains (IoB),” a national research and development initiative from Japan, will host a public event in San Francisco, in partnership with the Institute of Neuroethics Think and do Tank, and the UC Berkeley Kavli Center for Ethics, Science, and the Public.

This event will showcase “Neu World,” an innovative science communication project that brings together researchers, manga artists, writers, and citizens to collaborate on science fiction works exploring the future of neurotechnology and its transformative possibilities. These works are freely available online for everyone to enjoy.

Additionally, this event marks a significant milestone—the U.S. Debut of “Neu World” through the launch of its English-language works. Attendees will have the opportunity to read Neu World’s sci-fi manga and novels before the event officially begins.
