On BS TV Tokyo's program "Now Science," Dr. Hideki Koike's research was featured.

On Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 10:00 PM, the BS TV Tokyo’s program “Now Science” featured research by Professor Hideki Koike of the School of Computing, Tokyo Institute of Technology, who is also a Principal Investigator of the IoB Middleware.

The program showcased innovative learning methods across various fields, including sports, music, and medicine, through research on the brain and body.

For example, in ski training, a simulator combining VR (virtual reality) and AR (augmented reality) technologies is used. This simulator allows learners to train by observing the real-time movements of an avatar that replicates the actions of a skilled practitioner, demonstrating efficient skill acquisition.

The episode is available for replay on TVer (available only in Japanese) for about a week after its broadcast.
